A movie with ties to Hampton Roads has been honored by the 48 Hour Film Project.

“In Captivity” by Jpixx Films from Hampton Roads received honors for best film, best editing, best special effects and honorable mention for directing today at Filmapalooza.

The 48 Hour Film Project is a competition in which a team makes a movie—writes, shoots, edits and scores it—in 48 hours. “In Captivity” was competing against similar films made in 2011 from around the world.

“In Captivity” is directed, written and edited by Jon Abrahams and stars Isaac Gay, Cory Evans and Chloe Steinberg.
